Emily Richmond’s coverage of the area’s schools. She is a top-notch beat reporter who does a great job putting local stories in national context. This pairing of a nicely reported and explained news story about the budget crisis with a feature on a teachers’s forum about looming cuts is par for the course for Emily. Which is, like, a birdie in the scheme of things.
