From special ed to college.

Just last week I was wondering why I have not read more about how students who received K-12 special education services are faring in college. Yesterday the U.S. Department of Education announced $11 million in grants to help with this transition: a peg!

Do you have any statistics on how many special education students from K-12 go on to college?

I know my editor has wondered about how students who receive gifted services fare at college and in life... problem is once out of k-8, most gifted students take AP/IB courses and I'm guessing that would be harder to track them as "gifted" since so many other kids take those types of classes also... any ideas?
